Petrel: Petrel is an outcast to the ship and no one accepts her in any of the tribes because of her parents who betrayed the whole ship and that effected how Petrel would be treated. Petrel has the whole ship mapped out in her head and knows every inch of it like the back of her hand and knows every hidey-hole in the ship.
Settings: Dani, Erdem
The settings in the first 2 chapters take place on a boat called the “Oyster” as it circles the southern icecap. The main character goes around to the different tribes on the boat. The ship is an ancient, powerful icebreaker, which is overcrowded with people. There is also a lot of fighting on board
Problems: Ricky, Vidhun
There is a kid who is stuck in ice and needs help getting out. The character Petrel doesn’t have any group to be in and no one wants her. Petrel's parents were traitors so Petrel lived a hard life. No one knows who the frozen boy is and he is full of mystery.
